Pricing Schedule







All rates are in Australian Dollars.  The Official Government Fees are exempt from GST.  GST will be charged on our Professional Fees and other disbursements if the trade mark is in the name of an Australian entity. 

Application for Registration

  • drafting specification of goods and/or services
  • preparing and filing application for registration
  • reporting to you on the examiner’s report and advising you in respect of overcoming the examiner’s objections.  (This is traditionally charged for at hourly rates, but we provide this at no extra charge)
  • requesting your further instructions
  • obtaining the certificate of registration and maintaining our firm as the address for service for the registration regarding all future dealings with the trade mark

Application for one class of goods or services

Our Fee:  $700
Official Government Fee: $160
Total: $860

We also charge a $50 fee to cover miscellaneous disbursements.  For example, postage, photocopying, bank fees, telephone and facsimile charges.

Responding to the Examiner’s Objections

A report on the examiner’s objections will be provided free of charge.  This report will include advice on overcoming the examiner’s objections and requesting your further instructions.

The report will include a firm quote for preparing and filing a response in argument to the examiner’s report, which will be based on $280 per hour.

In the event that the examiner’s objections are not overcome, or varied, a further report will be provided free of charge. This report will include our further advice and a firm quote for any further action required.

Post Acceptance Procedure

This is traditionally an extra charge, but we provide these services at no charge.

  • Receiving, checking and forwarding to you the Notice of Acceptance
  • Arranging for the payment of the registration fee
  • Receiving, checking and forwarding to you the Certificate of Registration
  • Maintaining an address for service for all official notices regarding the registration and providing advice regarding any notices received
  • Reminding you of renewal due dates
Application for one class of goods or services

For each additional class of goods or services

Renewal of Registration

  • advising you of the due date for renewal and requesting your instructions
  • preparing and filing an application for renewal
  • arranging for payment of the renewal fee
  • confirming to you that the registration has been renewed
Registration for one class of goods or services

Our Fee: $250 Official Government Fee: $300 Total: $250

For each additional class of goods or services

Our Fee: No Charge Official Government Fee: $300 Total: $300

Pre-filing Trade Mark Search and Preliminary Advice
This search is not essential but recommended and can be useful if you are selecting a trade mark for use or whish to determine if such a mark is safe to use.

Conducting a search of various databases and providing advice to you on the availability to use, and the registrability of the proposed mark

Our Fee:  $350

Other Services

The above prices are for the most common services.  For other services a firm quote will be provided on request, including the recording of Name & Address changes, Assignment or Opposition and infringement proceedings.
